This workshop, the last of a series of three events, is jointly organised by the KISTI - Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (http://www.kisti.re.kr/english/) - and ERCIM - European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (http://www.ercim.org). This project is funded by the Grid Technologies unit (F2) of the European Commission (EC).

The objectives are:
1) to introduce to Korean and Asian teams some of the best EC funding projects in the area of Grid technologies,
2) to launch the EC Information Society Technologies (IST) Framework Programme 7 (FP7) in Korea and other Asian countries,
3) and as a result to promote and encourage Asian participation in future research projects funded under the EC IST FP7.

The scientific co-ordination of the Grid@Asia project is jointly ensured by Thierry Priol (INRIA) and Domenico Laforenza (CNR).
