Thilo Kielmann (WP3.1 about XtreemOS programming interface - VUA) presented the XtreemOS project focusing on SAGA, the API to XtreemOS during the 22nd Open Grid Forum.

OGF launches its second full year of events with OGF22 in Cambridge, MA USA; February 25-28, 2008. OGF recently completed an extremely productive 2007 with accelerated document publication and new collaborations initiated. People gather in Cambridge to continue the momentum, furthering usage of grids and related technologies through chartered group work and other activities in key areas presenting technical challenges to adoption.

OGF22 program highlights include:

  • A two day Specification Adoption track
  • Keynote presentations from Charlie Catlett, CIO of Argonne National Laboratory and Craig Lee, OGF president.
  • A cloud systems BoF that will set the current cloud scene and review options for OGF activities in this emerging area
  • A full day “Enabling the Next Generation IT Infrastructure” program 
  • Half day workshops focused on the challenges and opportunities facing the financial services and pharmaceutical, biotech and life sciences industries
  • A one day data management and movement workshop
  • Dozens of working and research group sessions
  • Grid requirements and best practices sessions, and more
